Astrology

13 Oct

We are coming out of a period of intense strain on everybody. It has been a combination of Pluto, Saturn, Uranus, and Jupiter in aline in the sky which is very rare. Whatever Pluto touches, it takes you to the bottom of the barrel, it takes you deep inside where you usually don’t go. Saturn is the task master of the Universe. It is telling us to get it together. Deal with your issues and take care of it now. Uranus is the spiritual planet of change. It forces change automatically and quickly. You have no choice about it. You have to pick up the pieces and get it to work. Whenever the planet Jupiter is in your chart, you will find life easy and feel a general sense of well being. However that was disconnected during this transit. It’s very important for everyone to work on issues that have come up because in 2012 these issues come up again in greater detail. So the Universe is telling us to be prepared.

Many fear the end of the world in 2012, but it is just the end of the Mayan calendar. We are being urged to make the necessary shifts in our lives so we can go into this new arena together.

October Activities

13 Oct

For me October is pumpkin pies and beautiful Indian Summer days. It’s warm and it’s beautiful and it makes me feel great.

There is still room for people to join in my workshops and classes. I would be delighted to have you.

A show that I recently saw at the Walnut Creek Art Center / Bedford Gallery was the WPA show. And for those of you who do not know what WPA is, it was an art program instigated by President Roosevelt to put the artist to work during the depression of the 1930s. The show is mainly prints, there are also watercolors, drawings, and photographs. During the opening, they had music from that period. It is an interesting show of high quality work from California collections. The Bedford Gallery is two and a half blocks from the Walnut Creek Bart station.

And of course there is Halloween to look forward to. The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art has a wonderful Halloween party with a costume contest and prizes. I’ll see you there. Go to their website for more details.

Solstice

21 Sep

Don’t forget tomorrow is the solstice-the beginning of Autumn. Take some time to have a cup a tea with yourself and remember the summer and think about what you will enjoy about the fall.

New! Web Store, Classes, & Astrology Readings

8 Sep

I’m real excited about doing this, it’s a whole new venue for me.  And I thought I had it all designed, and then I heard about online stores that are all inclusive.  So I need to think a bit more and also go to more sites.  One of the main things I’m looking for is a company that prints giclee prints and also ships them to the customer.

Now that Mercury goes direct on the 12th, I can post my new classes.  While Mercury was in retrograde I just don’t start anything new.  Usually if I try, it’s a mess!  Mercury is my ruler of my rising sign and my progressed Sun.  What I’m planning are ongoing classes Mondays and Tuesdays in my home studio.  These will be small classes, 5-7 students, with a lot of individual attention.  And then larger workshops which will be held on weekends.

In December I will be having open studio and open house the 4th and 5th from 1-4pm and cocktails from 4-6pm.

In the meantime I’m just shoveling out piles of papers and piles of stuff in my hands-on studio next to the garden.  And it feels wonderful and so liberating!

Most of you may have heard about the lineup of four major cardinal planets, one of which is Pluto, who says, ” Get rid of anything that is not working, or I will!”  Hence the cleaning of studios and my office.

I’ve decided to give the book Divine Inspiration: How to Release the Artist Within a little rest until after the first of the year.  Just long enough so it doesn’t get dusty.  This all makes me very happy and excited and stimulated.

I want to have some fun and go to a lot of art openings and parties.  Please join me and pass this along to your friends!

I just crawled out of the dirty, dusty, attic looking for the correspondence between me and May Wilson from the 70s.
I found a wonderful box of letters.  Personal letters between myself and Blaster and May Wilson.  Far more from Blaster than May.
This is the info for the Pro Arts Open Studio.

Hello world!

14 May

Welcome to WordPress.com. This is your first post. Edit or delete it and start blogging!  I am just going to leave the first few words.  They are my blog baby words and that is ok.  I smile when I write this.

TODAY Center for the Book in S.F. when they have a carnival and print prints on the pavement with a steam roller.  fun.  Most social.  They have more outdoor space so it is easy to  be social.  Saw some pretty nict silk screen tee shirts.  What a relief to see some quality.  Then to the Oakland Library for  an artists group meeting with Michael Larson and Elizabeth Pomada as speakers.  They are amazing, just tirelessly giving advice and support to writers.  Helped keep me focused.  I am researching my web presence.  Reading blogs and thinking of mine and writing something.
